Job Description:Associate Personal Banker

The Associate Personal Banker position involves assisting Banking Center customers and aiding the team in reaching sales, service, and operational goals in line with Webster's Strategic Guidelines. Responsibilities include processing all customer-related financial transactions following the rules, regulations, and guidelines of the Bank. Furthermore, this role necessitates utilizing superior communication skills and active listening techniques to grasp customers' financial needs, establish trust, optimize sales opportunities, generate leads, provide top-notch customer service, and build and maintain strong partnerships with various business segments through collaboration and communication. Proficiency in supervising and coaching other Relationship Bankers is also important.

Educational Attainment, Career Highlights, and Skill Set:

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Four years of customer sales and service experience preferred, with 1–2 years in a supervisory capacity. Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and motivate others.
• Comprehensive understanding of all products and services offered.
• Maintains familiarity with all platforms used for branch transaction processing.
• Exhibits strong customer service skills and fosters teamwork to promote a positive working environment.
• Ability to work flexible or rotating schedules, including weekends and extended hours, with possible travel to other Banking Centers.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately and promptly meeting customers' needs by making efficient use of available resources and tools.
• Assessing clients' needs and recommending relevant financial solutions and products through customized conversations to nurture and deepen relationships.
• Complete regular teller tasks, including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan repayments, and other required financial transactions.
• Support market segmentation strategies by implementing sales, retention, and other bank initiatives to achieve the Banking Center's growth and profitability objectives.
• Meet or exceed individual and team objectives in sales, service, and operational performance.
• Ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations and internal bank policies and procedures, meeting or exceeding branch audit requirements and operational benchmarks.
• Assist in supervising banking center colleagues by providing coaching and support, serving as a mentor, and supporting the onboarding of new team members.
