The role of Branch Development Manager offers an exciting opportunity to lead and grow a branch while focusing on business expansion and relationship-building. You will be responsible for driving revenue and operational excellence, overseeing sales and service functions, and ensuring the branch reaches its production goals. As a Branch Development Manager, you will proactively identify new business opportunities, acquire new consumer and business clients, and deepen existing customer relationships, all while leading a high-performing team and maintaining a strong focus on branch development.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead the development and growth of the branch by overseeing sales, service, and operational functions, ensuring that business objectives are met and surpassed.
Manage a portfolio of high-value consumer and business clients, driving referrals and internal collaboration to meet client needs and foster long-term relationships.
Develop and execute strategies to acquire new clients, expand existing customer relationships, and promote the bank’s products and services effectively.
Utilize available tools and technologies to track performance, identify opportunities, and drive business development initiatives within the branch.
Provide ongoing coaching, training, and leadership to the branch team, ensuring they are knowledgeable about products, services, technology, and policies.
Foster a culture of exceptional customer service, ensuring customer inquiries are resolved promptly and effectively, contributing to overall customer satisfaction and retention.
Build and maintain strong relationships with the community, identifying opportunities for community involvement that enhance the bank’s presence and brand.
Oversee the recruitment and hiring processes to ensure that team members align with the branch’s goals and Huntington’s corporate culture.
Ensure branch operations comply with all security, risk, and regulatory policies and procedures, maintaining operational integrity at all times.
Track and analyze branch performance metrics, adjusting strategies and processes as needed to improve efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Display expertise in banking services, commercial and consumer lending, portfolio management, and sales strategies to lead a high-performing team and achieve business goals.
Perform additional duties as required to support the branch’s growth and development.
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience in a retail sales leadership role with a focus on achieving goals, or a Bachelor's Degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field, with prior managerial experience in a branch or sales environment.
Experience leading branch operations, sales, service, and financial performance across both traditional and digital banking platforms.
Proven success in business development, client acquisition, and relationship management within a retail banking setting.
Strong expertise in banking products, consumer and commercial lending, financial services, and portfolio management.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and lead teams effectively.
Comfort with using digital tools, mobile banking apps, and online banking platforms to manage business and track progress.
Deep understanding of consumer and business deposit products and services offered by the bank.
A track record of motivating, inspiring, and empowering team members to achieve business goals and improve retention rates.
