Role Overview:

The Banking Associate is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while accurately managing a variety of financial transactions. This position plays a vital role in building strong customer relationships and supporting the smooth operation of daily branch activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process a variety of financial transactions such as check cashing, withdrawals, deposits, and loan repayments with accuracy and attention to detail
• Use a teller drawer to serve clients and assist bank personnel in the lobby or drive-through
• Identify opportunities to offer additional products and direct clients to the appropriate bank staff
• Develop the ability to recognize potential fraudulent activity and report concerns to management
• Ensure compliance with departmental, bank, and regulatory policies and procedures
• Maintain and uphold the established Wintrust culture
• Assist with opening and closing procedures for smooth branch operations
• Participate in community events as requested to support local engagement

Qualifications:

• Minimum of six months of experience in cash handling or customer service
• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to travel between branches as needed
• Availability to work all shifts, including weekends
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
• Ability to remain standing for extended periods
