The Retail Mortgage Loan Officer position involves administering mortgage loans in a retail setting. Duties & Responsibilities:

• Establishes and nurtures novel as well as existing referral networks internally and externally to facilitate the growth of the mortgage sector
• Offers advice to clients regarding mortgage loan options and various financial products using consultative selling methods.
• Ensures exceptional customer satisfaction from the approval stage up to the finalization of the deal, establishing strong partnerships with loan origination channels to authenticate and secure all essential data needed for underwriting procedures.
• In charge of preserving client partnerships.
• Offers assistance to customers in completing the necessary documentation for loan applications.
• Executes other responsibilities as delegated.

Basic Qualifications:

• The completion of either a high school diploma or a General Educational Development (GED) certificate signifies the successful fulfillment of requirements for secondary education
• Experience in originating mortgage loans for at least a year, ideally in a bank environment
• NMLS license

Preferred Qualifications:

• The pipeline and book of business serve as essential tools for assessing the sales prospects and client base of a business
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Familiarity with a variety of mortgage loan products including conventional loans, FHA/VA loans, construction financing, and portfolio programs
• Familiarity with the steps involved in obtaining a mortgage, the required paperwork, and the criteria for loan approval is necessary
• Evidenced proficiency in pinpointing opportunities for cross-selling financial offerings
• The ability to effectively communicate through writing and speech is essential
• Demonstrates strong organizational capabilities and the capacity to manage various tasks concurrently
• Competence in navigating the internet on a personal computer
