Job Summary:Investment Associate

The Investment Associate provides tailored financial guidance by assisting clients with daily banking needs, managing accounts, and recommending appropriate products and investment solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development:

• Establish and maintain a consistent SBA business development rhythm, including:
• Planning call strategies and tracking follow-up actions
• Conducting client retention calls
• Prospecting for new clients
• Engaging in outbound calls to connect with external contacts
• Participating in networking events
• Maintain and expand a Center of Influence (COI) network of key community and business leaders to drive referral opportunities
• Manage sales activities, analyze credit, structure loans, prepare and submit SBA loan packages, conduct client meetings, and assess individual attributes
• Develop and nurture innovative business relationships to support growth and expansion

Credit & Financial Expertise:

• Demonstrates proficiency in business credit and financial tools, including:
• Structuring terms and solutions tailored to business requirements, asset lifecycle, and growth strategies
• Reviewing financial statements and tax returns to assess creditworthiness and risk
• Evaluating short- and long-term credit needs based on business cycles and growth plans
• Educating prospective clients on bank underwriting standards, SBA programs, and relevant regulatory frameworks
• Collaborating with attorneys, loan closers, and internal teams to ensure timely loan closing and funding
• Balancing business objectives with client expectations while managing risk exposure
• Adhering to Seacoast Bank’s Code of Conduct, policies, and ethical standards
• Mentoring and supporting new SBA lending professionals
• Ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory obligations including BSA, AML, and OFAC
• Processing loan applications, collecting required client information, and maintaining fair lending practices
• Handling client inquiries efficiently, escalating issues when necessary

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; finance-related college degree preferred
• Preferred candidates have at least five years of direct SBA lending experience
• Minimum of 10 years in business development or financial services
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficient with desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, and Microsoft Office Suite applications
