Floating Relationship Banker

Job Overview:

A Floating Relationship Banker provides personalized financial solutions by assisting customers with daily banking needs, opening and maintaining accounts, and recommending appropriate products and services.

Main Duties and Obligations:

Business Development:

• Promptly institute a consistent pace for SBA business development in the market, encompassing diverse elements like:
• Structuring phone communications and monitoring follow-through
• Client retention calls
• New client prospecting
• Making outbound calls to connect with prospects or clients
• Networking events
• Develop and nurture a robust COI foundation of community and business luminaries to increase the flow of referrals
• Managing sales operations, analyzing creditworthiness, creating loan structures, submitting SBA loan packages, meeting with clients, and assessing individual characteristics
• Build and cultivate innovative business connections to foster growth and expansion

Credit Acumen:

• Illustrates a full understanding of financial resources available to businesses, including:
• Organizing relevant terms and merchandise to meet the business requirements, asset life expectancy, and strategies for growth
• Reviewing financial statements and tax returns is a standard practice for evaluating the creditworthiness and risk of prospective borrowers
• Mapping out credit needs for both immediate and future periods by considering business sales cycles and planned expansions
• Advises potential customers on bank underwriting standards, Small Business Administration programs, and applicable government rules
• Collaborates with lawyers, loan finalizers, and in-house personnel to guarantee prompt completion and financing of loans
• Harmonizes business priorities with customer expectations while overseeing the mitigation of risk factors
• Adheres to the values and standards prescribed in Seacoast Bank’s Code of Conduct
• Acts as a mentor and coach for new SBA lenders in their professional growth
• Stays in line with the bank's policies and procedures, emphasizing compliance with BSA, AML, and OFAC regulations
• Evaluates loan applications and gathers necessary applicant information while upholding fair lending standards and ethical sales practices
• Adheres to promptly addressing customer inquiries with professionalism and efficiently refers problems to higher levels when necessary

Education and Experience:

• Obtaining a high school diploma or its comparable equivalent is required
• Those with a financial-related college degree are prioritized
• Having at least five years of relevant experience in SBA lending is highly desirable
• The ideal candidate will have accumulated a minimum of 10 years in business development and/or financial services
• Excellent at communicating through writing, speaking, and interpersonal connections
• Skillful in navigating desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, and Microsoft Office Suite functions
