Job Overview:

In a TD Store setting, the Cash Handling Representative's primary objective is to deliver exceptional customer experiences by effectively processing day-to-day banking transactions with precision and speed. Moreover, they are tasked with acquainting customers with TD's various products and services and steering them towards specialized solutions through referrals as necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Executing TD's brand guarantee to customers by consistently displaying appropriate behaviors that aim to provide customers with an outstanding experience when visiting the store
• Completing customer transactions in a timely manner, which involves activities like deposits, withdrawals, loan repayments, and managing safe deposit boxes
• Executes cash transactions meticulously by verifying checks, authenticating currency, reconciling cash drawer, and processing night deposits accurately
• Handles customer inquiries and issues according to set procedures and escalates them to higher levels of management if needed
• Acts as a lobby leader by coordinating the flow of customers, warmly greeting them, and providing proper guidance
• Comprehending customer banking preferences concerning timing and mode of interaction, while advising customers on personalized self-service and digital choices that align with their preferences
• Supports customers by initiating discussions centered on their needs, proposing financial and digital remedies, and guiding them towards suitable partners for solutions
• Shows proficiency in decision-making and offers timely solutions, escalating intricate problems to managerial levels as required
• Follows company protocols and regulatory mandates, such as the Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act, during operational tasks to minimize risks and ensure customer safety
• Verifies customer identities through the implementation of customer authentication policies and procedures
• Conducts audits of cash drawers, ATMs, and TCDs/TCRs to maintain proper balances
• Complies with the established procedures and guidelines for safe deposit box operations
• Tasked with the upkeep of cash drawers and vaults, the individual must ensure that cash limits are maintained and that cash is securely stored at all times

Qualifications:

• Achieving either a high school diploma or a GED is a significant milestone that demonstrates a basic level of academic proficiency
• While six months of work-related experience is preferred, individuals can showcase an equivalent level of qualification through volunteering, education, or military background, which will also be considered
• Flexibility to work within operational hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays based on the schedule
• Demonstrated proficiency in customer service is preferred
• Strong organizational skills
• Detail-oriented
• Proficiency in thriving within a quickly changing and high-energy environment
• Proficient in conveying messages clearly, briefly, and cohesively
