The role of a Commercial Lending Officer involves assessing the creditworthiness of businesses applying for loans and making decisions based on their financial stability and repayment capabilities

Compiles a roster of potential new customers and participates in initiatives to secure new customer connections on a consistent basis. Reaches out to current clients to cultivate new business opportunities and enhance or maintain existing relationships with them.

Required Skills:

• Proficient sales and marketing abilities
• It is imperative to grasp and excel in managing credit legal documentation
• Displayed capability in examining and appraising documentation to identify risks
• Past exposure to meeting regulatory, compliance, and due diligence criteria
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
• Familiarity with the workings of financial institutions and expertise in assessing creditworthiness
• Demonstrating adeptness in organization, logical argumentation, and clear communication
• The individual possesses self-motivation and autonomy to handle multiple tasks efficiently, effectively manage a challenging workload, and deliver on time
• Competence in Word, Excel, and Power Point is required for this position
• Proficiency in building and nurturing successful work partnerships

Required Experience:

• Candidates must have exhibited growth in their professional journey within the business sector
• At least five years of background in analyzing credit and overseeing portfolios
• An ideal candidate would bring to the table at least three years of hands-on experience in middle market commercial lending, along with robust credit assessment capabilities and a history of effectively nurturing, expanding, and executing new business opportunities
• Using deductive and inductive reasoning skills to tackle and resolve problems
• The skill to grasp novel information and implement it in future scenarios to solve problems and make informed choices
