Job Overview:

The Loan Support Specialist is responsible for servicing consumer, small business, SBA, and commercial loans within an environment of high work volumes and strict deadlines. Works on complex assignments requiring independent action and initiative to resolve problems and develop recommendations. This role interacts with bank staff at all levels, customers, escrow/title personnel, attorneys, and various external professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform loan servicing activities including general loan maintenance, processing payments, data entry, loan document creation, lien perfection, escrow/tax support, flood review, and general ledger reconciliation.
• Process moderately complex consumer, small business, SBA, and commercial/business loan products following organizational workflow and regulatory requirements.
• Provide outstanding service and timely responses to internal and external customer requests.
• Capture metrics to assist leadership in coordinating and adjusting daily workflow.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts and help implement workflow enhancements.
• Ensure work is accurate, meets deadlines, and communicate work status for redistribution if needed.
• Serve as a Loan Servicing subject matter expert (SME) and assist others in understanding processes, procedures, and policies.
• Mentor, train, and cross-train team members as required.
• Participate in collaboration project teams across divisions and departments.
• Maintain compliance with all bank regulations, policies, and procedures, staying up-to-date on changes.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 2-4 years of advanced consumer, SBA, or commercial/business loan servicing experience.
• Strong knowledge of consumer, SBA, and commercial/business loans, lending products, services, and documentation.
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to frequent workflow changes.
• Strong math, analytical, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills across all organizational levels.
• Proficiency in computer software including Word, Excel, loan servicing systems, and other office tools.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume service-oriented environment.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

The pay rate for the selected candidate depends on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, with details provided during the recruitment process.
