Job Summary:

Being a Commercial Banking Associate at First Citizens Bank involves upholding the tradition of cultivating and expanding relationships with local business owners to help them achieve their financial objectives.

The key role of Commercial Banking Associates is to acquire and manage a portfolio of business banking relationships. They partner with bank allies to provide a full suite of deposit services and related business solutions. Larger relationships could be managed with the approval of a manager or appropriate partner support. They establish and nurture an active list of potential clients, a customer outreach plan, and reliable referral sources as per a sales strategy to achieve production goals and profitability objectives.

Responsibilities:

In this position, you will have the chance to:

• Help drive the bank forward by assisting in the increase of business loans, deposits, and fee-based income.
• Utilize your contacts to interact with local business operators and corporations to establish potential business lending chances.
• Attend and take part in civic, community, and networking functions to represent the bank in the community.
• Partake in a seamless loan approval process by engaging in transparent communication and connections with credit collaborators.
• Work collectively with a variety of bank partners to support and strengthen the entire client association.

Qualifications:

• Candidates should hold a bachelor's degree and a minimum of four years of experience in business lending, credit, or business development, or possess a high school diploma/GED and at least eight years of experience in these fields.
• Documented experience in developing businesses and validated proficiency in creating and evolving client rapport.
• Demonstrating solid capabilities in financial analysis and evaluating credit underwriting.
• Knowledge of business financing choices, deposit services, and techniques for effective cash flow supervision.
• Skilled in the art of communication, negotiation, and presentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Set COIs and sources where referrals are made
• Knowledge of financial analysis techniques and credit underwriting principles is key to accurately assessing borrowers' creditworthiness
• Awareness of business funding, deposit accounts, and cash handling strategies is key for businesses
• Expertise in offering financial counseling and specialized knowledge
• Well-versed in sales planning and predicting trends
