Job Description:

The Teller Specialist serves as the primary customer-facing representative, delivering FirstBank’s high standards of service, accurately processing banking transactions in accordance with established procedures, supporting customer inquiries, and identifying opportunities to refer suitable products and services.

Core Responsibilities:

• Assist customers with day-to-day transaction needs in line with bank guidelines, service standards, and brand expectations, including inquiries related to account balances, transaction history, fees, and interest rates.
• Maintain strong daily operational control by securing cash drawers, balancing daily transactions, following item processing procedures, detecting counterfeit currency, handling coin processing, reconciling ATM activity, and ensuring teller station readiness.
• Support customer awareness of banking products and educate them on digital banking channels such as mobile banking, online platforms, ATM services, and other technology-enabled solutions.
• Identify customer needs and refer them to appropriate banking partners for additional financial solutions and services.
• Protect the bank by strictly following procedures and confidentiality standards, including CTRs, SARs, Regulation CC requirements, documentation rules, and robbery response protocols.
• Deliver consistent, high-quality service aligned with FirstBank’s customer experience standards.
• Comply with all banking regulations, internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies, including fraud prevention and secure cash handling practices.
• Maintain reliable and consistent attendance.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Requires understanding of banking regulations, compliance requirements, and FirstBank-specific policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Basic computer proficiency and mathematical skills required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Less than two years of relevant experience preferred.
• Must be bonded within the first six months of employment.
