Floating Capital Coordinator

Job Description:

A Floating Capital Coordinator provides personalized financial solutions by assisting customers with daily banking needs, opening and maintaining accounts, and recommending appropriate products and services.

Crucial Responsibilities and Duties:

Business Development:

• Promptly institute a consistent pace for SBA business development in the market, encompassing diverse elements like:
• Arranging phone discussions and managing follow-ups
• Client retention calls
• New client prospecting
• Using outbound calls to establish connections with others
• Networking events
• Develop and nurture a robust COI foundation of community and business luminaries to increase the flow of referrals
• Responsible for handling sales, assessing credit, structuring loans effectively, compiling and submitting SBA loan packages, conducting client meetings, and evaluating individuals' characteristics
• Establish unique ties and forge fresh alliances to grow business connections

Credit Acumen:

• Possesses a solid understanding of the different credit avenues accessible to enterprises, including:
• Formulating appropriate terminology and products that address the specific business needs, asset lifecycle, and growth strategy
• Interpreting financial statements and tax returns helps in evaluating creditworthiness and risk for both personal and business purposes
• Determining short- and long-run credit necessities by aligning them with business sales trends and development objectives
• Advises potential customers on bank underwriting standards, Small Business Administration programs, and applicable government rules
• Teams up with attorneys, loan closing experts, and internal staff to ensure loans are closed and funded in a timely manner
• Manages the interplay between business priorities, customer demands, and risk management strategies
• Ensures compliance with Seacoast Bank’s Code of Conduct by conforming to its policies and guidelines
• Provides mentorship to junior SBA lending professionals to foster their success
• Maintains compliance with banking policies and procedures, particularly in relation to BSA, AML, and OFAC guidelines
• Evaluates loan applications and gathers necessary applicant information while upholding fair lending standards and ethical sales practices
• Handles customer issues in a timely and courteous manner, escalating matters to the appropriate channels as needed

Education and Experience:

• Possessing a high school diploma or its equivalent is a fundamental requirement
• Individuals with a finance-related college degree are preferred candidates
• Preference for candidates with at least five years of directly relevant experience in SBA lending
• Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 10 years in business development and/or financial services
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficiency in using desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, and Microsoft Office Suite
