As a Commercial Banking Associate, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and expanding client relationships while delivering exceptional customer experiences. You will provide financial guidance to current and prospective clients by assessing their financial needs and offering solutions through bank products and services to help clients achieve their current and long-term financial goals. You will also assist in promoting Simmons banking solutions to clients through daily interactions, business visits, networking events, and other outreach initiatives. Commercial Banking Associates are expected to meet or exceed established individual and branch goals while maintaining a professional and positive image as a Simmons Ambassador. All Commercial Banking Associate roles receive standardized training on all required products, services, needs-based conversations, and other tools necessary to perform the role.

Vital Roles and Responsibilities:

• Educate clients on the full breadth of the bank's resources, including branch services, digital tools, and affiliated business partner resources
• Support the achievement of individual objectives through face-to-face and outbound client interactions, sharing valuable solutions and advice using a needs-based approach
• Manage account-related tasks including account openings and closures, guiding customers to select appropriate accounts, reviewing account details, and ensuring compliance with BSA and CIP regulations
• Assist with consumer loan applications: gather loan requests, maintain knowledge of loan policies and procedures, and support the management of consumer loan portfolios at the branch(es)
• Identify client needs and refer them to specialized teams that focus on small businesses, corporate clients, institutions, and mortgage or financial advisory partners
• Maintain high client satisfaction by actively engaging customers and ensuring an excellent overall experience
• Ensure all departmental tasks and documentation are completed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies, including mandatory compliance training
• Handle customer requests and transactions professionally, using authentic conversations to determine needs and provide effective solutions
• Undertake additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Strong ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one and small group settings with clients, customers, and internal team members
• Collaborative team approach to support customers in a dynamic banking environment
• Provide direction and guidance to branch staff following established protocols when the AFCM is unavailable

Education and/or Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 12 months of experience working directly with customers in a goal-driven role
• Registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) is required
• Obtain an NMLS license after hire
• Proficiency in MS Office programs
• Use social media platforms to enhance brand visibility and gather market intelligence
• Occasional travel for meetings, training, or assisting with bank conversions and acquisitions, with minimal overnight stays
• Ability to provide guidance and support to other financial institutions in the market
