As a Bank Teller, you will be responsible for processing daily banking transactions, assisting customers with account inquiries, and providing excellent customer service. Tellers serve as the first point of contact for clients, ensuring accurate and efficient service while supporting the branch team in meeting operational goals. Bank Tellers are expected to maintain a professional demeanor and uphold Simmons Bank’s standards of excellence. All Teller positions receive training on products, services, compliance, and operational procedures necessary to perform the role.

Core Responsibilities and Duties:

• Process customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments accurately and efficiently.
• Provide guidance to customers on bank products, digital tools, and partner services.
• Support individual and branch goals by delivering exceptional service and maintaining accurate records of transactions.
• Assist with account opening and closing, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with BSA and CIP regulations.
• Identify customer needs and refer them to appropriate branch staff or specialized teams, such as Relationship Bankers or loan officers.
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through professional, friendly, and solution-oriented interactions.
• Ensure all departmental documentation and operations comply with laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, completing required compliance training.
• Perform other duties as assigned by branch leadership.

Qualifications:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Capability to assist and support branch staff while following established protocols and procedures.

Education and/or Experience:

• HS Diploma/GED required.
• 12 months of customer-facing experience preferred, ideally in banking or financial services.
• NMLS registration may be required for certain teller responsibilities involving mortgage-related transactions.

Computer Skills:

• Proficiency with MS Office programs and basic banking software.
• Ability to leverage digital banking tools and systems to assist customers efficiently.

Other Qualifications:

• Occasional travel may be required for training, meetings, or branch support during conversions or acquisitions.
• Ability to provide guidance and assistance to other banking professionals as needed.
