Job Overview:

The Loan Processing Specialist is responsible for servicing consumer, small business, SBA, and commercial loans in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This role involves complex assignments requiring independent judgment and initiative to resolve issues and develop recommendations. The position interacts with bank staff at all levels, customers, escrow/title personnel, attorneys, and other external professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform loan servicing tasks, including general loan maintenance, processing payments, entering data, generating loan documents, perfecting liens, supporting escrow and tax activities, reviewing flood documentation, and reconciling the general ledger.
• Process loans for diverse client segments—consumers, small businesses, SBA, and commercial entities—ensuring compliance with organizational procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Provide exceptional support and timely responses for both internal and external requests.
• Collect performance metrics to assist leadership in aligning and optimizing daily workflows.
• Participate in ongoing improvement initiatives and support workflow enhancements.
• Ensure accuracy, meet deadlines, and communicate progress for potential reassignment.
• Offer guidance as a subject matter expert in loan servicing, helping others understand relevant processes, policies, and procedures.
• Train, coach, and support team members to ensure they are prepared for their responsibilities.
• Collaborate on projects involving teams from multiple divisions and departments.
• Stay up-to-date with bank regulations, policies, and procedures to maintain compliance.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• 2-4 years of experience in consumer, SBA, or commercial/business loan servicing.
• Thorough knowledge of consumer, SBA, and commercial/business loans, including products, services, and documentation requirements.
• Ability to multitask effectively and adapt to frequent workflow changes.
• Strong skills in mathematics, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and task management.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills across organizational levels.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, loan management systems, and other office software.
• Capable of performing efficiently in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical capabilities.

Compensation:
