Job Description for Banking Operations Associate:

Provide quality, accurate, and timely customer service through daily processing of financial transactions and account openings in a retail banking environment. The Banking Operations Associate introduces bank products and services through outreach to prospects and delivers tailored recommendations to existing clients to deepen relationships. This role supports banking center goals by meeting or exceeding sales and referral targets, conducting outbound sales activities, and assisting banking center management as needed.

Qualifications for Banking Operations Associate:

• As a basic requirement, individuals must hold either a high school diploma or a GED.
• A year of experience in the role of a Teller is the preferred background.
• Successfully passing the credit background examination is a key component for validation.

Sales and Service:

• Help reduce client wait times and maintain service quality by offering necessary support to tellers and customers.
• Participate in teller services by facilitating transactions like deposits, withdrawals, currency handling, and check cashing.
• Establish and provide maintenance for deposit accounts, such as checking, savings, IRAs, CDs, and money market accounts.
• Utilize consultative interactions to identify client needs and recommend appropriate banking solutions.
• Drive business expansion by recommending supplementary products and facilitating referrals to bank associates, with the goal of not only attracting new business but also nurturing client connections.
• Participate in special promotions for deposits and loans by making regular outbound calls to clients and prospects.
• Assist customers with personal and retail consumer loan applications and ensure that the completed forms are properly handed off to the appropriate associate.

• Address and resolve client concerns by investigating issues and responding to queries about account statuses.
• Guarantee that clients consistently encounter positive and professional service experiences.
• Quickly and effectively respond to client queries and address their concerns.
• Improve your understanding of products and services by actively participating in sales meetings, training workshops, and online educational programs.

Compliance and Risk Management:

• Comply with all necessary banking regulations, policies, protocols, and internal oversight structures.
• Adhere to the risk management standards in conjunction with the ethical principles set forth in the First Horizon Code of Ethics.
• Comply with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and any affiliated regulatory provisions.

Operational Efficiency:

• Support personnel at banking centers in carrying out their operational functions, including overseeing audit checks.
• Guide new associates through practical training exercises focused on banking center management.
• Stay knowledgeable about operational alterations and procedural changes to ensure sustained compliance.
• Observe and perform all other relevant work obligations.

Computer and Office Equipment Skills:

• Adept at working with Microsoft Office Suite applications.
• Proficiency with office and banking machinery such as a 10-key calculator and coin counter.

DeGarmo Behavioral Assessment Requirement:

• To be considered, all candidates are expected to go through the DeGarmo Retail Behavioral Assessment.
• Approximately 12-15 minutes is the typical duration for the assessment to be finished.
