Job Description for Cash Handling Representative:

Deliver exceptional, accurate, and timely customer service by processing financial transactions daily in a retail banking setting. As the primary point of contact for many customers, the Cash Handling Representative establishes strong relationships by providing excellent service, suggesting appropriate bank products, and referring clients to other Bank divisions as necessary. This position supports revenue growth through the development and maintenance of long-term, profitable client relationships while ensuring compliance with operational and procedural standards and maintaining proper cash control.

Qualifications for Cash Handling Representative:

• This position requires a high school diploma or GED as a minimum qualification.
• A preferred qualification is six months of experience in handling cash or working as a teller, or an equivalent blend of education and experience.
• Proficient in operating Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to effectively use office and banking tools, such as a 10-key calculator and coin counter.
• The DeGarmo Retail Behavioral Assessment needs to be satisfactorily finalized.
• The estimated time needed to complete the assessment is 12–15 minutes, and it should be submitted before the application review.

Primary Tasks and Responsibilities for Cash Handling Representative:

Operational Efficiency:

• Uphold cash control measures while monitoring and reconciling the contents of a cash drawer.
• Ensure adherence to audit, security, and operational policies and protocols.
• Perform transactions for customers, which may involve tasks like deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan repayments.
• Conduct various financial transactions like bonds, municipal coupons, and money orders.
• Aid in the daily balancing and processing of ATMs, completing all necessary entries as per regulations.
• Ensure the accuracy of funds received through night and lobby depository boxes.
• Assist with the management of dual control vault tasks.
• Stay updated on operational modifications and procedural alterations to sustain compliance.

Client Experience:

• Uphold a commitment to consistently offering clients excellent and professional service.
• Ensure timely and effective resolution of client inquiries and concerns.
• Assist individuals with selected service needs to optimize their overall customer experience.
• Deepen product and service knowledge by joining sales meetings, training sessions, and web-based learning sessions.

Sales and Service:

• Find ways to introduce additional offerings to customers during engagements.
• Channel clients and prospects to the right internal team members for tailored support.
• Improve client engagement and satisfaction levels by highlighting the benefits of bank products and services.

Compliance and Risk Management:

• Observe and adhere to all of the bank's regulations, policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Ensure alignment with risk management standards and the ethical framework provided in the First Horizon Code of Ethics.
• Complete any other job-related assignments as directed.
