Job Description for Senior Banking Associate:

At Regions, the Senior Banking Associate is responsible for meeting with customers and prospects both in person and on the phone to determine their financial needs, and meeting those needs by proactively offering appropriate products, services, and guidance to achieve their financial goals. This role will focus on acquiring and deepening existing customer relationships with a focus on Preferred Banking Households to include more complex, affluent solutions, wealth opportunities, investments, lending, debt consolidation, and in-depth saving conversations.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Accomplishes personal and branch targets by proactively recognizing customer needs and offering advanced-level guidance and perspective related to Regions' solutions, with a specific focus on Preferred Banking Households
• Performs outbound calls using obtained customer and prospect lead lists from Preferred Banking and other consumer households to broaden current associations and obtain fresh ones
• Assists the Branch Team in managing relationships with a portfolio of Preferred Banking Households
• Provides information and guidance to clients regarding Regions' range of Consumer and Business offerings, encompassing various loan and deposit options, as well as annuities and life insurance products
• Guides customers on the latest technological innovations and digital options, including mobile applications, online platforms, and ATM services, intended to enhance convenience in banking
• Ensures a steady and prime customer service involvement by possibly sharing the duties relating to everyday branch tasks such as meeting clients and managing transactions in order to assure that customers engage in their banking operations at their preferred time, location, and in their preferred way
• Assumes responsibility for addressing and fixing customer issues
• In cases where more financial goals and needs are identified, customers are directed to an internal team of specialists for support
• Foster the growth of junior bankers by serving as a specialist within the team
• Adheres to all banking rules and regulations while carrying out delegated duties supervised by the Branch Manager. Plays an integral role within the branch team to ensure the implementation of reliable banking processes and to monitor, detect, and report operational risks

The position involves documenting time worked over 40 hours a week and is eligible for overtime under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Requirements:

• A high school diploma or GED provides individuals with the necessary educational background to succeed in various endeavors
• Successful candidates will have a proven track record of two years in banking, sales, or customer service
• Proficiency in cash handling and completing financial exchanges involving physical money
• Competence in articulating thoughts through live, telephonic, and virtual exchanges
• Ability to use a computer on a frequent basis, including typing and sustained attention to a monitor
• Willingness to work on Saturdays as and when needed
• Having the capacity to move on foot and maintain a standing position for an extended period
• Capacity to carry items weighing up to twenty pounds

Certifications/Licensures:

• Life Insurance License
