Job Summary:Float Personal Banker Associate

The Float Personal Banker Associate delivers tailored financial solutions by assisting clients with daily banking activities, managing account openings and maintenance, and recommending suitable banking products and services.

Business Development:

• Establish a steady and reliable approach for SBA business growth in the market, including tasks such as:
• Planning and preparing for phone conversations and following up on outcomes
• Conducting client retention calls to maintain existing relationships
• Prospecting new clients to expand business opportunities
• Making outbound calls to engage with prospects and clients
• Participating in networking events to strengthen community and business ties
• Maintaining and growing a mature Center of Influence (COI) network of prominent business and community leaders to drive referrals
• Managing sales activities, analyzing credit, structuring loans, preparing and submitting SBA loan documents, meeting with clients, and evaluating character traits
• Developing new connections and forming strategic partnerships to enhance business growth

Credit Acumen:

• Demonstrates deep understanding of business credit options, including:
• Creating tailored terms and products that align with business needs, asset longevity, and growth plans
• Reviewing financial statements and tax returns to assess creditworthiness and risk for both individuals and businesses
• Evaluating short- and long-term credit requirements in line with business cycles and future growth projections
• Educating clients about bank lending standards, SBA programs, and relevant government regulations
• Collaborating with attorneys, loan closers, and internal teams to ensure timely loan closings and funding
• Balancing business priorities with client needs while managing risk exposure
• Adhering to Seacoast Bank’s Code of Conduct and ethical standards
• Mentoring junior SBA lenders to support their professional development
• Following bank policies and regulatory requirements, including BSA, AML, and OFAC compliance
• Processing loan applications and collecting necessary client information while ensuring ethical and fair lending practices
• Handling customer issues efficiently and professionally, escalating matters as needed

Education and Experience:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required
• Preferred candidates hold a finance-related college degree
• At least five years of direct experience in SBA lending is advantageous
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in business development or financial services is preferred
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficiency in desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, and Microsoft Office Suite
