Job Description:

Commercial Banking Associates at UMB are experts at building customer relationships and recommending and selling products and services. They use their product knowledge and every interaction to identify needs and offer financial solutions to help customers secure their financial well-being while making banking easy.

Allocating Time Effectively:

• Posing personalized questions to convert transactions, account administration responsibilities, and other habitual service requests into cross-selling interactions that enhance client rapport while ensuring customer needs are met satisfactorily.
• Engaging in the proactive pursuit of sales leads through making contact via phone, meeting with businesses to present workplace banking offers, and establishing a system for client recommendations.
• Finding equilibrium between competing priorities and reaching your daily key performance goals.
• Performing educational tasks such as processing transactions, overseeing cash drawer operations, and finalizing bank paperwork in accordance with industry best practices and legal mandates.

• Completed high school or an equivalent level of education.
• One year of experience in a retail or customer-facing setting, with experience in customer engagement, product recommendations, and driving sales.
• Reliable transportation and availability to work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings.
• Ability to acquire NMLS registration within 90 days of meeting the prerequisites.
