The Cashier provides customers with accurate and efficient transactional services, assisting with daily banking needs, account management, and guidance on appropriate financial products.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development:

• Support the growth of SBA-related business by maintaining a structured approach, including:
• Preparing call agendas and follow-up actions
• Conducting client retention calls
• Prospecting new clients and opportunities
• Engaging with clients via telephone and in-person interactions
• Participating in networking events to strengthen professional relationships
• Maintain and enhance a Center of Influence (COI) network of key community and business leaders to generate referrals
• Assist with sales support, credit assessment, and loan preparation as needed
• Build and cultivate new business relationships to support overall growth

Credit Acumen:

• Demonstrates familiarity with business credit and lending processes, including:
• Understanding bank loan terms, business requirements, and growth strategies
• Supporting the review of financial statements and tax documents to evaluate creditworthiness and risk
• Providing guidance to clients on loan requirements, SBA programs, and relevant regulations
• Collaborating with attorneys, loan closers, and internal teams to ensure timely loan processing
• Balancing customer needs with risk management considerations
• Adhering to Seacoast Bank’s Code of Conduct and ethical standards
• Mentoring and assisting junior team members in understanding lending procedures
• Following all regulatory guidelines including BSA, AML, and OFAC standards
• Processing loan applications, collecting applicant information, and maintaining ethical and fair lending practices
• Promptly addressing customer concerns and escalating issues when necessary

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• College education in a finance-related field is preferred
• Five or more years of experience in SBA lending is desirable
• At least 10 years of experience in business development or financial services
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficiency in desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, and Microsoft Office Suite
