Key Responsibilities of a Senior Consumer Banker:

• Build, maintain, and expand lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with individual customers by understanding their financial needs and offering customized banking solutions.
• Proactively evaluate customers’ financial profiles to recommend appropriate products and services that align with their personal financial goals.
• Leverage the bank’s cutting-edge technology to ensure that customer interactions are efficient and meet the evolving needs of clients.

Responsibilities include:

• Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets for a variety of consumer banking products, including savings and checking accounts, personal loans, mortgages, credit cards, and investment products.
• Help customers with a wide range of banking needs, such as account management, loan applications, credit inquiries, and resolving issues related to accounts or transactions.
• Provide expert guidance to customers in areas such as debt management, home financing, and investment planning to help them make informed financial decisions.
• Assist customers in setting up or updating accounts, completing transactions, and addressing financial concerns with accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines and requirements, including those related to loan origination, credit, and financial product offerings.
• Work collaboratively with other departments to provide a seamless customer experience, ensuring that customers have access to a wide range of banking solutions.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to branch staff, helping them achieve sales and service goals and improve customer service delivery.
• Utilize digital tools and platforms to streamline customer interactions, ensuring convenience and efficiency for clients utilizing mobile and online banking options.
• Actively seek out new business opportunities by engaging with existing customers and pursuing new prospects to expand the bank’s customer base.

Qualifications include:

• A high school diploma or GED is required; a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• More than two years of experience in customer service, sales, and banking operations, with a focus on consumer banking products and services.
• Ability to effectively assess clients' financial needs and offer customized solutions that align with their goals and preferences.
• Proficiency in sales strategies, including the ability to identify, develop, and maintain new business opportunities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey financial information in a clear and approachable manner.
• Experience with banking software and digital platforms, including online and mobile banking systems.
• Proficient in problem-solving, decision-making, and providing exceptional customer service in a timely and professional manner.
• Knowledge of banking products such as loans, mortgages, savings accounts, and credit cards.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to consumer banking products.
• Ability to mentor and motivate branch staff to achieve sales and customer service objectives.
