In a TD Store setting, the Retail Teller's primary objective is to deliver exceptional customer experiences by effectively processing day-to-day banking transactions with precision and speed. Moreover, they are tasked with acquainting customers with TD's various products and services and steering them towards specialized solutions through referrals as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Consistently enacting TD's brand commitment to customers by demonstrating the necessary behaviors to provide customers with a remarkable experience while in the store
• Performing customer transactions proficiently, including activities such as deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and managing safe deposit boxes
• Carries out cash handling tasks with precision, which includes check cashing, currency validation, cash drawer balancing, and evening deposit processing
• Manages customer inquiries and issues by following standard protocols and escalating to supervisors or managers when necessary
• Demonstrates lobby leadership skills through effectively managing customer flow, greeting customers warmly, and offering appropriate guidance
• Recognizes customer preferences for banking interactions in terms of timing and methods, providing education on self-service and digital solutions customized to their preferences
• Champion customer interests through meaningful conversations, suggesting financial and digital solutions, and coordinating with appropriate partners for further assistance
• Skilled at making well-thought-out decisions and offering timely solutions, escalating complex issues to the appropriate level of management
• Follows company guidelines and regulatory standards, such as the Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act, when carrying out operational activities to minimize risks and protect customers
• Validates the identity of customers by following specified customer authentication policies and procedures
• Verifies and reconciles cash holdings in cash drawers, ATMs, and TCDs/TCRs accordingly
• Complies with the established procedures and guidelines for safe deposit box operations
• Accountable for managing cash drawers and vaults, the person is responsible for upholding designated cash thresholds and ensuring cash is protected at all times

Qualifications:

• Both a high school diploma and a GED serve as formal recognitions of completing the necessary educational requirements at the secondary level
• Having six months of relevant work experience is advantageous; however, candidates can exhibit an equivalent level of expertise through volunteering, education, or military service- Expected to be available for work during operating hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays if scheduled
• Preference will be given to individuals who have showcased excellent customer service abilities
• Strong organizational skills
• Detail-oriented
• Ability to perform optimally in a fast-paced and continually shifting context
• Proficient in clear, consistent, and concise communication
