Job Summary:

The Branch Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting branch operations, sales, and customer service to enhance profitability and community presence. Responsibilities include overseeing staff, organizing training, managing schedules, coaching, performing Branch Manager duties in their absence, cross-selling banking products, and ensuring compliance with security and regulatory guidelines. Candidates should have banking experience (3–5 years preferred), may require NMLS certification, and are eligible for benefits and discretionary bonuses.

What you’ll do:

As the Branch Assistant Manager, your main objective is to support the Branch Manager in achieving superior financial outcomes and delivering exceptional customer service by fostering a culture of proactive sales and service. You will focus on maximizing employee productivity, collaborating with internal teams, and driving growth and profitability.

• Improve the bank's local standing by participating in networking events and initiating outbound calls to boost branch sales performance.
• Manage day-to-day branch operations, including overseeing training programs, scheduling, and managing the facility.
• Hold regular team meetings to maintain employee awareness and motivation.
• Lead coaching sessions and manage performance issues as they arise.
• Step in to manage branch operations in the absence of the Branch Manager.
• Promote products and services to customers based on their specific needs, including deposits, loans, and retirement plans.
• Perform Personal Banker duties as required.
• Ensure compliance with departmental, bank, and regulatory policies and procedures.
• Ensure adherence to safety and security protocols in accordance with regulations.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED required; college degree or relevant banking experience preferred.
• Previous managerial experience preferred.
• 3-5 years of banking experience preferred.
• NMLS certification may be required.
