Your role as a Senior Lending Banker is essential in:

• Managing and expanding the bank’s lending portfolio through the acquisition and servicing of commercial, residential, and consumer loans.
• Providing tailored loan solutions that meet the unique financial needs of clients.
• Utilizing the bank’s technological tools and resources to streamline the lending process and improve the customer experience.

Responsibilities include:

• Meeting and exceeding sales targets and goals for loan origination in various categories such as commercial loans, residential mortgages, home equity lines of credit (HELOCs), and other loan products.
• Advising clients on the most suitable lending products based on their financial situation, including offering personalized loan structuring and financial planning recommendations.
• Maintaining a thorough understanding of current market trends, interest rates, loan products, and regulatory requirements to offer expert advice to clients.
• Working closely with the branch team, underwriting, and risk departments to ensure timely and accurate loan processing.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention through excellent service and support.
• Monitoring the loan portfolio, conducting annual reviews, and managing loan renewals and modifications as needed to ensure compliance and risk management standards.
• Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to expand the bank’s lending portfolio and support branch growth.
• Adhering to all bank policies and regulatory guidelines, ensuring proper documentation and risk mitigation for all lending transactions.
• Providing coaching, mentoring, and guidance to junior lending staff and supporting their development in loan origination processes.
• Utilizing digital banking tools and technologies to streamline the loan process and improve customer interactions.

Qualifications include:

• A high school diploma or GED is required; a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred.
• At least five years of experience in commercial, residential, or consumer lending, with a strong track record of successful loan origination and portfolio management.
• In-depth knowledge of lending products, including mortgages, home equity lines of credit (HELOCs), commercial loans, and small business lending.
• Ability to analyze financial documents and assess creditworthiness, while identifying appropriate solutions for customers.
• Strong sales, customer relationship management, and communication skills to effectively engage with clients and colleagues.
• Proficiency in utilizing banking software, loan origination systems, and digital banking tools to streamline operations and improve customer service.
• Experience in compliance with federal and state lending regulations, as well as bank policies and procedures.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments and contribute to the overall success of the branch or bank team.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide and support junior team members.
• Series 6 and 63 licenses are preferred for those who wish to offer investment products as part of the lending services.
