The Retail Banking Associate engages with potential clients to introduce them to bank services and offers personalized suggestions to existing customers to enhance customer relationships. Working towards sales and referral benchmarks, this role partakes in proactive sales initiatives and offers assistance to banking center management as requested.

Qualifications:

• Successful completion of high school or attainment of a GED is a prerequisite for consideration.
• A year of Teller experience is desirable.
• The completion of a credit check is a mandatory step in the background verification procedure.

Sales and Service:

• Provide support to both tellers and customers to decrease waiting times and maintain service excellence.
• Carry out teller duties involving transactions like depositing funds, withdrawing money, handling cash and coins, and cashing checks.
• Create and manage deposit accounts, which may involve checking, savings, IRAs, CDs, and money market accounts.
• Use consultative dialogues to pinpoint client needs and propose suitable financial products and services.
• Promote a variety of products and facilitate introductions to strategic banking collaborators to acquire fresh clientele and enhance existing customer engagements.
• Regularly reach out to clients and leads through phone calls and take part in promotional activities for deposits and loans.
• Aid individuals in completing applications for personal and retail consumer loans and pass on the finalized forms to the designated team member.

Client Experience:

• Conduct research to identify and resolve client problems and provide updates on account information when requested.
• Provide clients with a uniform, proficient, and favorable experience.
• Provide immediate and efficient solutions to client queries and issues.
• Expand your comprehension of offerings through active engagement in sales conferences, learning seminars, and virtual training sessions.

Compliance and Risk Management:

• Ensure strict compliance with all existing banking regulations, policies, operational guidelines, and internal oversight measures.
• Abide by the standards set for risk management and the code of ethics established by First Horizon.
• Stay in line with the regulations outlined in the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and its related provisions.

Operational Efficiency:

• Support staff at financial institutions in executing their daily operational duties, including monitoring audit procedures.
• Provide practical guidance to new employees in the management of banking centers.
• Stay knowledgeable about operational updates and procedural modifications to ensure ongoing conformity.
• Fulfill any other job responsibilities as required.

Computer and Office Equipment Skills:

• Competence in using Microsoft Office applications.
• Proficiency in utilizing office and banking apparatus like a 10-key calculator and coin counter.

• The completion of the DeGarmo Retail Behavioral Assessment is mandatory for all potential candidates.
