Job Summary:

As a Loan Servicing Specialist, you will provide customized financial support to clients by assisting with their daily banking needs, managing and overseeing accounts, and recommending appropriate financial products and services.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Business Development:

• Establish and maintain a consistent flow for SBA business growth, including:
• Preparing for client calls and tracking follow-up actions
• Client retention outreach
• Prospecting new clients and business opportunities
• Conducting outreach calls to individuals and organizations
• Attending networking events to expand professional connections
• Develop and maintain a Center of Influence (COI) network of key community and business leaders to generate referral opportunities
• Manage sales responsibilities, analyze credit, structure loans, prepare and submit SBA loan packages, conduct client assessments, and evaluate financial and character profiles
• Source and cultivate strategic affiliations to enhance business development efforts

Credit Acumen:

• Demonstrate deep understanding of business loan facilities, including:
• Structuring loan terms and products based on business needs, asset lifecycle, and growth strategies
• Analyzing financial statements and tax returns of businesses and individuals to assess creditworthiness and risk
• Assessing short- and long-term credit requirements aligned with business sales trends and growth plans
• Educating prospective clients on bank credit evaluation criteria, SBA programs, and applicable regulations
• Coordinating with attorneys, loan closers, and internal staff to ensure timely loan closing and funding
• Balancing business objectives with client needs while managing risk
• Following Seacoast Bank’s Code of Conduct and ethical standards
• Serving as a trusted advisor and mentor to junior SBA lending staff
• Ensuring strict compliance with all bank policies, including BSA, AML, and OFAC requirements
• Reviewing loan applications and collecting required client information while adhering to fair lending and ethical sales practices
• Addressing client concerns professionally and escalating issues when necessary

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• College degree in finance, business, or a related field preferred
• Five or more years of direct experience in SBA lending preferred
• Ten or more years of experience in business development and/or financial services roles
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficiency in desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, and Microsoft Office Suite
