As a Retail Banking Manager, you will play a critical role in managing branch operations, overseeing sales and service functions, leading a team to meet production targets, acquiring new consumer and business clients, and proactively deepening existing customer relationships. You will also be responsible for driving business development through strategic calling programs, referrals to partners, and active community engagement.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Oversee a diverse portfolio of consumer and business clients, ensuring seamless referral processes across various bank departments to address client needs, strengthen relationships, and foster internal collaboration in line with branch policies.
• Lead and motivate a team to deliver exceptional customer service while efficiently resolving customer concerns and maintaining a high level of satisfaction.
• Utilize tools, resources, and technology to uncover and present opportunities for sales and service growth.
• Ensure that all team members are well-versed in bank products, services, technology, and policies by providing consistent training and development opportunities.
• Engage actively with the local community to build and enhance important business and community relationships that benefit the bank.
• Foster key internal relationships to drive business growth and success within a specific market area.
• Manage recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes to ensure the team aligns with Huntington’s values and culture.
• Ensure the branch operates efficiently and in full compliance with security, risk, and regulatory policies and procedures.
• Monitor and assess the branch’s performance in sales, service, operations, and financial results.
• Exhibit expertise in banking, investment management, consumer lending, commercial banking, business loans, sales strategies, team leadership, customer service excellence, process improvement, and colleague development.
• Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the branch’s success.

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED, with at least one year of experience in a retail sales leadership role focused on achieving results, or a Bachelor's Degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree, coupled with prior managerial experience in a retail banking or sales environment.
• Proficiency in managing branch sales, service, operations, and financial performance across traditional and digital platforms.
• Strong expertise in banking processes, sales strategies, investment products, consumer lending, small business banking, commercial lending, portfolio management, client care, and team leadership.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Comfort and proficiency in using digital banking tools, mobile apps, and online banking platforms.
• Comprehensive knowledge of consumer and business banking deposit products and services.
• Proven success in motivating and inspiring teams to improve retention, customer satisfaction, and business growth.
