Job Description for Commercial Risk Manager:

The Commercial Risk Manager assists in the assessment of risk and management of the Bank's loan portfolio by providing analytical and credit oversight and is responsible for the annual review, renewal, loan covenant compliance reviews, and financial collection process within assigned loan portfolios. Partners with Relationship Managers to grow and develop a high-quality and profitable loan portfolio.

Responsibilities for Commercial Risk Manager:

• Evaluate important details to ascertain the risk level and to determine if a prospect or existing credit is an acceptable risk.
• Identify credit risk trends within individual customers and the portfolio, and provide management with updates on any changes in risk factors.
• Work hand-in-hand with Relationship Managers to engage with clients and gain insights into their distinct needs and preferences during meetings.
• Collect the necessary financial data to support precise risk evaluation and thorough underwriting scrutiny.
• Clarifying client queries and double-checking the correctness of information crucial for loan underwriting purposes.
• Analyze the worldwide cash flow for commercial and individual prospects, borrowers, and those offering guarantees.
• Create detailed financial spreadsheets, credit presentations, narratives, relationship summaries, and loan pricing models for financial evaluation.
• Help with pricing adjustments and structuring for both new loan products and renewals.
• Direct the efforts towards efficiently completing loan closing and booking activities.
• Keep an eye on industry trends and scrutinize specialized data to detect potential risks.
• Administer the process of issuing renewal notifications every 4 months and conducting thorough evaluations to ensure compliance with loan covenants and yearly reviews.
• Stay up to date with all necessary regulatory mandates and training obligations.
• Fulfill all other assignments as required.

Qualifications for Commercial Risk Manager:

• Essential possession of a bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or equivalent industry experience.
• Two years of experience is the minimum requirement for this position, with a preference for candidates with two to four years of experience.
• Expertise in employing analytical thinking for effective credit assessment and underwriting.
• Goal-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrates excellence in building relationships and displaying strong interpersonal abilities.
• Possessing advanced skills in grammar, typing, and spelling capabilities.
• Shows strong capabilities in managing time and organizing tasks efficiently.
• Proficiency demonstrated across Microsoft Office applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
