Job Description:

Serving as the primary point of contact for customers, the Teller Associate delivers FirstBank’s service excellence by processing transactions in accordance with bank policies, assisting with customer inquiries, and identifying opportunities for cross-selling and appropriate referrals.

Key Functions and Responsibilities:

• Assist customers with transactional needs following established procedures, brand standards, and service expectations, including inquiries related to account balances, transaction history, fees, and interest rates.
• Maintain daily operational standards by securing cash drawers, reconciling cash transactions, following item processing procedures, detecting counterfeit currency, organizing and packaging coins, balancing ATM transactions, and replenishing teller station supplies.
• Demonstrate knowledge of bank products and services and educate customers on digital banking solutions such as mobile banking, online banking, ATMs, and other digital tools.
• Identify customer needs and refer them to appropriate banking partners for additional products and services.
• Protect the bank from risk by following procedures and confidentiality requirements, including CTRs, SARs, Regulation CC holds, documentation standards, and robbery protocols.
• Deliver consistent, high-quality service aligned with FirstBank customer experience standards.
• Comply with all banking regulations, internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies, including fraud prevention and cash handling security protocols.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Requires access to sensitive and confidential information.
• Must understand banking regulations, compliance standards, and FirstBank-specific policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Basic computer and math skills required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Less than two years of relevant experience preferred.
• Must be bonded within the first six months of employment.
