Job Title: Commercial Banking Officer

The job of a Commercial Banking Officer centers around evaluating and approving loan applications from corporate clients. This role focuses on developing and maintaining profitable customer relationships by offering financial solutions that bring added value. Successful execution of the position demands skill in managing relationships, knowledge of products, expertise in credit, and the capability to independently oversee client portfolios. Performance assessment is based on achievements in business development, revenue enhancement, risk control, and the enduring success of client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate fresh commercial opportunities by proactively reaching out to potential clients, obtaining referrals from current clients, and expanding sales through cross-selling efforts.
• Create and sustain centers of influence (COIs) and engage in social gatherings to expand your professional network.
• Organize financing packages and assess creditworthiness through detailed analysis.
• Facilitate the creation of loans tailored for commercial and real estate ventures.
• Handle and complete loans usually falling within the $1 million to $10 million range.
• Boost deposit accumulation through the promotion of extra financial products.
• Carry out any other assigned responsibilities.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• The responsibilities of this role do not include overseeing others or supervisory duties.

Qualifications:

• Education: It is recommended that candidates have obtained a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a closely related discipline.
• Experience: Candidates must possess a minimum of four years of hands-on experience in areas such as lending, credit aid, or client engagement.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with products and services provided by commercial banks, including handling loan requests and assessing credit for business (C&I) and property ventures (CRE).

Skills and Abilities:

• Proficient in growing businesses and maintaining strong relationship management.
• Enhancing the growth of loan portfolios while also driving cross-selling initiatives.
• Proficient in expressing thoughts and ideas effectively through interpersonal communication.
