Job Description: Banking Specialist

The Banking Specialist is expected to engage in an in-depth and customized onboarding and training program. This involves exposure to a variety of areas such as Operations, Sales & Service, Loans, Small Business, Preferred Services, and Sales & Operations Management. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to undergo a comprehensive learning experience to equip themselves for the role of a Financial Center Manager. Upon successful completion of the training program, the FCMA will be assigned to a Financial Center.

Primary functions and accountabilities:

• Adhere to the structured FCMA roadmap as originally planned, covering all essential onboarding activities from the initial day through to the final stages of the program, aiming for the proficient attainment of the Consultative Selling Skills Certification
• Excel in building strong ties with Consumer and Small Business clientele by offering an unforgettable customer service experience
• Obtain knowledge, display, and retain a working familiarity with Fifth Third's products, services, procedures, and internal tools to stay informed, direct, and steer the team competently
• Acquire proficiency in consultative selling to identify in advance the financial needs of current or potential clients and provide appropriate solutions to fulfill those needs
• Gain insights into establishing a comprehensive book of business strategy that encompasses all customer touchpoints and guarantees that a Financial Needs Assessment (FNA) is conducted for each customer, with dedicated support from the most qualified banker
• Gain expertise in establishing, fostering, guiding, and supervising a team that aligns with our fundamental beliefs and business tactics
• Gain expertise in creating a unified One Bank culture that collaborates proactively with business partners
• Be involved in projects that have a positive impact on the societies we are a part of
• Comply with the regulations laid out in the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other connected policies and procedures, exemplifying the ethical behavior that is mandated for all employees
• Further obligations as instructed

• Provide your employees with punctual, transparent, and beneficial evaluations.

Necessary qualifications, skills, and capabilities expected:

• Candidates must have either completed a college program or gained at least two years of leadership experience in sales
• Skill in professionally portraying Fifth Third Bank in communication, whether written or verbal
• Skilled in reviewing credit and financial documentation
• Competence in managing and training sales endeavors
• Exhibits business acumen
• Shown capacity for making well-founded choices
• This position requires S.A.F.E. Act registration at the time of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS). The NMLS web site (mortgage.nationwidelicensingsystem.org) provides the MU4R questions and registration.

Working Conditions:

• Normal office environment.
• Extended periods of time spent looking at computer screens.
• Travel intermittently within Bancorp's geographical reach for meeting and training commitments.
