Commercial Banking Portfolio Manager

Job Description:

An opportunity exists for a Portfolio Manager within the Commercial Real Estate Group (CREG) to handle duties like underwriting, credit monitoring, and portfolio management for acquisition, value-add/bridge, and construction loans across various asset classes.

Responsibilities:

• Help the RM with structuring, underwriting, and overseeing loans for non-owner-occupied commercial real estate, ensuring alignment with the Bank's established guidelines and policies.
• Collaborate with the Relationship Manager to enhance client service and legal process management, serving as a communication bridge between different business units and external parties.
• Reviewing and composing pre-screening records, formal loan approval memos, revisions, annual assessments, and adjustments in risk grading.
• Consistent portfolio management entails monitoring financial reporting, evaluating covenant compliance, and making adjustments to risk ratings when necessary.
• Follow all regulatory and credit requirements mandated by the Bank.
• Conduct additional administrative duties and specific projects to meet the needs of a client portfolio.

Qualifications:

• Either a four-year college degree or a mixture of educational background and directly applicable experience is necessary.
• A background in commercial banking spanning five to ten years, with a preference for at least two years of hands-on experience in managing commercial real estate portfolios is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in underwriting, Excel analysis, and professional written communication abilities.
• Attention to detail.
• Competence in reviewing the financial documentation of individuals, companies, and investment funds.
• Shows expertise in credit policy and procedures and is skilled at precisely risk assessing loans/credits.
• Formulate solutions for dealing with troubled credit accounts.
• Shows proficiency in treasury and derivative products, showcasing the capability to optimize the Bank's resources to deliver customized full-service solutions to the firm.
