As aBusiness Banking Officer at Rockland Trust, you are tasked with building and fostering strong relationships that serve to deliver an energetic banking experience for both customers and colleagues. Each day, you will use your unique skills to expand relationships with our client base by identifying financial needs, efficiently processing transactions, and offering appropriate products or services.

What You'll Do:

• Engage in consultative interactions with valued clients to establish trust and enhance relationships, ensuring they have confidence in your ability to find the answers to their financial concerns.
• Engage in collaborative and independent work to ensure customer satisfaction, seize sales opportunities, and provide tailored financial solutions to address customer needs.
• Skillfully execute traditional customer transactions in a professional manner, ensuring adherence to defined procedures and limits, which may include services like check cashing, deposit processing, and withdrawal management for individual and corporate clientele.
• Deal with basic and more intricate questions concerning customer accounts, products, services, policies, and procedures; troubleshoot customer concerns and take necessary steps to resolve them effectively.
• Create fresh opportunities for customer engagement by implementing daily digital outreach strategies to ensure a cohesive and interconnected customer experience across all platforms.
• Instill a sense of enthusiasm and anticipation for target events by coaching and leading branch staff.
• Use a consultative method to identify customer needs and cross-sell appropriate bank deposit and loan solutions to both new and existing clientele.
• Embrace technology and utilize internal and external digital channels to cater to customers and strengthen customer relationships.
• Apply legal knowledge to make informed decisions on loan applications, including those for Home Equity.
• Develop and preserve successful working affiliations, with both customers and colleagues.
• Leverage Salesforce for facilitating customer interactions, dialogues, and follow-up procedures efficiently.
• Support the Branch Manager in establishing and nurturing a culture that prioritizes efficient lobby management and engaging with customers to enhance their experience, both within the branch and in external interactions.
• Adhere to operational, regulatory, and security policies while balancing customer satisfaction and mitigating risks for the Bank
• Assume additional duties and responsibilities as the need arises.

Required Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor's degree and/or have excelled for 2-4 years in sales and service capacities within retail, hospitality, or financial services.
• Must hold certification from NMLS and be a Notary Public.
• Strong communication competencies evident in verbal, written, and interpersonal interactions.
• Highly experienced in Microsoft Word and Excel, with proficiency in operating a wide array of equipment and mobile devices.
• Showing exceptional organizational skills, with a specific emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Displaying a solid sales-driven mindset with the capacity to multitask efficiently and customize approaches to accommodate diverse situations.
• Having the capability to operate intuitively and find imaginative solutions whenever problems arise is crucial.
• Demonstrating the ability to operate within regular office requirements, with extended periods of standing inside and outside branch locations, along with continuous interaction with customers.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Displaying a readiness and capability to work within a dynamic workweek, which might require weekends, in line with customer needs.
• Indicating the capability to proficiently finish our training curriculum.
