Job Overview:

Financial Services Banker build meaningful, long-term client relationships by exhibiting breakthrough client service standards and providing customized solutions to help clients achieve their financial goals. This includes offering sound financial advice and often collaborating with internal bank partners. Relationship Bankers are expected to be active in the community and engage customers where and how they prefer to bank by providing education on digital and traditional solutions to achieve their banking needs.

Responsibilities:

• Encourage clients and prospective clients to participate in financial reviews and business appraisals to find solutions and reveal any additional financial necessities. Offer advice and ensure that obligations to clients are met.
• Maintain direct communication with external and internal clients, providing exceptional service that aligns with the bank's innovative client service benchmarks.
• Primary associate in the branch in charge of initiating new deposit accounts and creating consumer loans.
• Generates consumer loans and small business loans while continuously building and managing a diverse loan and deposit portfolio.
• Shares details with customers about the services available through internal departments, including Treasury Management services.
• Makes proactive outbound calls to existing and potential consumer and small business customers. Collaborates with the branch manager to organize proactive business development meetings within the community.
• Nurtures a pool of prospects through a combination of in-person branch engagements and outbound activities.
• Team up with partners from different sectors of the bank and within the branch team.
• Providing autonomous assistance in solving client issues with digital products and services.
• Displays dedication to the community by taking part in events held during and after business hours, on weekends, volunteer activities, and supporting community initiatives.
• Displays a proactive approach to understanding, implementing, and fostering the core tenets of our DO RIGHT TOGETHER culture.
• Tasks outside of usual duties may be delegated.

Qualifications:

• Applicants must have either a high school diploma or a GED.
• Two years of banking experience or demonstrated proficiency in sales is a must-have for this role.
• Years developing current and new client relationships, achieving sales goals, and building referral sources in banking or retail environment with client service and cash handling experience required.
• You must have 2 years of prior experience in a lending role that encompasses loan origination and processing responsibilities.
• Proficient in understanding the range of consumer and business products and services.
• Demonstrated aptitude in consumer and commercial lending services.
• Demonstrates a strong drive to help clients reach their financial objectives.
• Having the ability to grasp cash flow, financial statements, and market volatility is significant.
• Demonstrates an interest and ability to improve technology skills across different delivery channels, including online banking interfaces, bill payment features, electronic statement services, mobile banking apps, ATMs, and business banking applications.
• Consistently seeks to elevate communication skills, particularly in the context of delivering presentations.
• Superior communication skills evidenced through articulate verbal and written presentations to groups.
• Ability to perform outbound calling tasks, both in face-to-face encounters and virtually.
• Capable of lifting objects up to 25 pounds and standing for extended periods without strain.
• This position may involve working as a bank MLO for open-end transactions. All MLOs are required to register following the guidelines of the SAFE Act. It's important to note that this position is not permitted to act as a bank closed-end MLO.
