Role Overview:CRA Lending Specialist

Responsible for advancing sales and marketing strategies for Truist Mortgage Loan products in accordance with bank guidelines. Promotes cross-selling opportunities for additional banking services and insurance products, providing clients with expert support and recommendations.

Fundamental duties and roles:

• Establish and carry out efficient plans for marketing mortgages and expanding business operations to meet or exceed production objectives.
• Stay up to date with the mortgage strategies, policies, procedures, and secondary market investor guidelines implemented by Truist.
• Ensure complete adherence to Truist policies as well as state and federal mandates.
• Dispensing informed recommendations regarding mortgages by fully comprehending the client's needs and emphasizing the benefits of Truist Mortgage offerings.
• Maintain a regular practice of guiding mortgage clients at Truist towards supplementary banking options through the referral process.
• Aid in the processing of mortgage loan paperwork follow-up for borrowers, legal representatives, or valuation experts as needed through scrutiny checks or post-settlement assessment.

Qualifications:

• Candidates should possess at least one year of hands-on experience in banking or lending, coupled with a basic familiarity with different types of residential properties.
• Demonstrates strong skills in organization, writing, and verbal interaction.
• Proficient in building relationships and skilled in the art of negotiation.
• Skill in relevant software applications.
• Compliance with the specifications outlined in the SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act entails fulfilling NMLS registration and passing a background screening within 30 days.

Preferred Qualifications:

• The candidate should hold a bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Accounting, or a relevant discipline, or possess comparable experience in financial sales.
• Well-versed in residential mortgage lending for more than two years, demonstrating a solid grasp of local market dynamics and regulatory frameworks.
• Established track record of successful sales performance and past experience in managerial positions.
