As a new Bank Teller Trainee at Rockland Trust, you play a crucial role within our branches, directly engaging with customers and taking the lead in understanding their requirements, providing tailored recommendations to foster and nurture connections. What You'll Do:

• Start by welcoming customers warmly as they arrive at the branch and directing them to the appropriate colleague who can assist them effectively.
• Provide ongoing customer assistance, demonstrating prompt, proficient, and polite customer care both face-to-face and over the phone.
• Assist clients in finding the most suitable Rockland Trust banking products to meet their specific requirements.
• Make customers feel supported by handling tasks with precision, like depositing funds, issuing withdrawals, accepting payments, verifying checks, and completing various monetary activities.
• Collaborate with your direct supervisor in making decisions, with the potential for increased responsibility as you become more skilled and experienced in your role.
• Collaborate with our training division and your branch colleagues to understand these duties thoroughly, and to finish the Teller Training program at Rockland Trust.
• Fulfill additional responsibilities designated by supervisors.

Required Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or its equivalent is required.
• Proficient abilities in both oral and written communication.
• Skilled in utilizing computers and technology effectively to support the accomplishment of business objectives.
• A disposition that prioritizes sales and customer experience.
• Demonstrating the capacity to uphold a polished and professional image.
• Adopting a constructive attitude toward engaging with clients and colleagues.
• Capability to adhere to standard office protocols, including extended periods of standing and continuous customer assistance.
• Capability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, based on customer needs.
• Demonstrating the ability to successfully complete our training program.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Candidates must possess 1–2 years of previous experience as a teller or in cash handling and customer service roles.
