Oversee the entire process of commercial underwriting for potential customers and existing clients, which involves evaluating, recording, and collaborating with both inside and outside parties.
Evaluate and organize all client and potential deals, guaranteeing precision in property appraisals, environmental evaluations, and UCC inquiries.
Offer evaluations of financial documentation, corporate strategies, and potential threats, giving justified suggestions and financial assistance proposals.
Retain a thorough understanding of client sectors and the range of credit and additional offerings from the bank for proposing suitable loan configurations.
Confirm that all underwriting adheres to regulatory and compliance standards and conforms to the bank's risk framework.
Oversee the designated portfolio through the observation of its performance, trends, and possible credit challenges, while promptly addressing any issues that arise.
Ensure the precision of risk ratings, conduct yearly evaluations, distribute financial records, and carry out necessary compliance and regulatory checks.
Supervise changes and exemptions in the designated portfolio while maintaining a proactive approach to risk management that is transparent and forward-thinking.
Collaborate with in-house product teams to create and introduce credit offerings that satisfy customer requirements and adhere to the bank's pricing and risk tolerance standards.
Provide a fresh and forward-looking assessment of risks associated with assigned clients and potential clients, as well as creating suggestions for managing those risks effectively.
Effectively oversee a diverse portfolio with substantial credit risk, necessitating adept judgment, analytical problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to make independent decisions.
Influence significant credit decisions independently and offer guidance to junior colleagues when necessary.
Engage in and take charge of initiatives or endeavors that uphold the broader Portfolio Management framework beyond regular portfolio duties.
Provide top-notch credit and underwriting evaluation while maintaining robust operational and credit risk criteria.
Qualifications:
Required:
A bachelor's degree in finance or a closely related field is required.
Over half a decade of professional involvement in evaluating commercial credit histories.
Advanced expertise in MS Office programs.
Effective abilities in interpersonal, written, and verbal communication.
Showed reliable decision-making skills in assessing credit and analytical capacity.
Exceptional focus on particulars.
Demonstrating the capacity to efficiently manage tasks and prioritize responsibilities in a high-speed setting.
Preferred:
Previous background working in a comparable position within a corporate financial establishment.
Specialized knowledge relevant to a particular industry or sector.
