Job Title: Teller Supervisor

Job Description:

Responsible for overseeing teller operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining efficient workflow. This role includes supervising staff, coordinating daily activities, and supporting branch operations while promoting bank products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

Teller Operations:

• Ensure all teller functions are performed accurately and in compliance with policies and security procedures.
• Assign and coordinate teller workflow and daily activities.
• Assist with complex transactions and resolve teller or customer issues.
• Investigate and resolve balancing discrepancies.
• Perform teller transactions including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments.
• Maintain inventory of negotiable instruments (cashier’s checks, money orders, etc.).
• Support new accounts and provide backup when needed.

Customer Service:

• Ensure high-quality customer service standards are maintained.
• Resolve customer inquiries and issues promptly.
• Explain bank products and services and assist customers with financial needs.
• Handle calls, direct inquiries, and perform account maintenance.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold the bank’s professional image.
• Actively cross-sell bank products.

Team Leadership:

• Provide leadership, training, and coaching to teller staff.
• Monitor performance and support employee development.
• Assist with performance evaluations and training programs.
• Ensure compliance with policies and sales standards.
• Act as manager in the absence of the lobby manager.

Coordination & Reporting:

• Coordinate with branch staff and management.
• Keep management informed of activities and issues.
• Complete reports and attend meetings as required.

Additional Duties:

• Ensure work areas are clean and secure.
• Perform opening and closing procedures (vault, alarms, etc.).
• Provide teller coverage and perform clerical tasks as needed.

Performance Expectations:

• Balanced cash and timely issue resolution.

• Accurate and timely reporting.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 2.5 years of teller experience.
• Knowledge: Teller operations, banking procedures, and basic accounting.

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Supervisory and training abilities.
• Sound judgment and decision-making skills.
• Strong math and operational skills.
• Proficiency with banking systems and office equipment.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent communication and active listening.
• Repetitive hand and finger movements.
• Ability to review documents and perform office tasks.
• Sedentary work with occasional lifting up to 10 lbs.

Standard office environment with no hazardous conditions.

Work Schedule:

• Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Saturday: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
• 40 hours per week
