Job Description:

The Banking Advisor role will provide services for Banking Center customers and assist the team in achievement of sales, service, and operation goals, based on Webster's Strategic Guidelines. The role will process all customer related financial transactions in accordance with the rules, regulations, and guidelines of the Bank. Additionally, this role uses excellent communication and active listening skills to learn about the customer's financial needs, establish trust, optimize sales opportunities, generate leads, and provide quality customer service as well as develop and maintain a strong partnership with various business segments through collaboration and communication. Responsibilities:

• Meeting customers' needs promptly and accurately involves utilizing available tools and resources effectively
• Understanding the needs of customers and suggesting fitting financial solutions and products through tailored discussions to forge and enrich connections.
• Engage in standard teller responsibilities which encompass processing deposits, withdrawals, check encashment, loan repayments, and any other necessary financial transactions.
• Aid in the execution of the segmentation strategy by introducing sales, retention, and diverse bank projects to achieve the growth and profitability targets of the Banking Center.
• The expectation is to achieve or surpass both personal and team goals in sales, service, and operations
• Staying in compliance with Federal and State regulations and internal bank policies and procedures. Meeting or exceeding branch audit requirements and operational evaluation benchmarks
• Provide oversight for colleagues at the banking center by offering coaching support to other bankers. Act as a role model and help in the training of new bankers joining the team.

Academic Background, Professional Journey, and Competencies:

• A high school diploma or GED is mandatory, and candidates with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree are preferred.
• Experience in customer sales and service for 2-4 years is required, with preference given to those with 1-2 years of supervisory experience. Demonstrated ability in leading, coaching, and motivating others.
• Full awareness of the spectrum of products and services offered
• Maintains knowledge of all systems implemented for branch transaction processing.
• Illustrates adeptness in customer service and the capability to enhance teamwork, ultimately creating a beneficial working environment.
• The capacity to work flexible or rotating schedules, including weekends and extended hours, and the potential need for travel to different Banking Centers.
