Job Description for Banking Associate:

Banking Associates at UMB are experts at building strong customer relationships while recommending and selling appropriate products and services. Banking Associates use their product knowledge and every customer interaction to identify financial needs and provide solutions that help customers achieve long-term financial well-being, all while making banking simple and accessible.

Managing and prioritizing tasks to make the most of your time:

• Using customized, needs-based questions to convert routine transactions, account maintenance activities, and service requests into meaningful cross-selling conversations
• Proactively identifying sales opportunities by contacting leads, visiting local businesses to present workplace banking solutions, and building referral-based relationships
• Effectively balancing multiple priorities while meeting daily key performance indicators
• Performing learning and operational activities such as transaction processing, cash drawer management, and completion of bank documentation in compliance with regulatory and industry standards

• You demonstrate exceptional attention to detail when completing documentation and explaining product features and benefits
• You possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• You have at least one year of retail or customer-facing experience involving customer engagement, product recommendations, or sales influence, or possess comparable related experience
• You have reliable transportation and the flexibility to work branch hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
• You are able to obtain NMLS registration within 90 days of meeting eligibility requirements
