A Floating Retail Specialist provides personalized financial solutions by assisting customers with daily banking needs, opening and maintaining accounts, and recommending appropriate products and services.

Crucial responsibilities and duties:

Business Development:

• Quickly establish a consistent SBA business development cadence in the marketplace, including but not limited to:
• Arranging phone discussions and managing follow-ups
• Client retention calls
• New client prospecting
• Placing phone calls to connect with external contacts
• Networking events
• Sustain and amplify a diverse group of influential community and business leaders within a Center of Influence (COI) framework to facilitate referral creation
• - Handling sales duties, conducting credit assessments, structuring loans accurately, packaging and submitting SBA loan requests, interviewing clients, and evaluating character traits
• Forge and cultivate original business relationships to unlock new opportunities and collaborations

Credit Acumen:

• Reveals a nuanced understanding of business credit facilities, with a focus on:
• Formulating appropriate terminology and products that address the specific business needs, asset lifecycle, and growth strategy
• Evaluating the financial statements and tax returns of both individuals and businesses is a key factor in assessing their creditworthiness and level of risk
• Evaluating short- and long-term credit needs based on the rhythm of business sales cycles and prospective growth initiatives
• Instructs future clients on the procedures financial institutions use to assess loan applications, SBA programs, and applicable government directives
• Teams up with attorneys, loan closing experts, and internal staff to ensure loans are closed and funded in a timely manner
• Manages the trade-off between business imperatives and responding to customer needs while overseeing risk management
• Respects and follows the conduct code mandated by Seacoast Bank
• Imparts knowledge and expertise to junior-level SBA lenders to help them excel in their roles
• Maintains compliance with banking policies and procedures, particularly in relation to BSA, AML, and OFAC guidelines
• Reviews loan applications and acquires mandatory applicant information while ensuring adherence to fair lending guidelines and ethical sales policies
• Deals with customer issues promptly and professionally, escalating concerns as deemed suitable

Education And Experience:

• Meeting the requirement for a high school diploma or its similar substitute is compulsory
• Candidates with a financial-related degree from college are sought after
• The preference is for candidates to have at least five years of directly relevant experience in SBA lending
• Business development and financial services roles mandate at least 10 years of professional experience
• Proficiency demonstrated in written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Adeptness in handling desktop computers, laptops, tablets, smartphones, and Microsoft Office Suite tools
