In your role as a Commercial Banker at First Citizens Bank, you will continue the legacy of nurturing and extending connections with local business proprietors to assist them in achieving their financial objectives.

Commercial Bankers are tasked with obtaining and overseeing a collection of business banking connections. They collaborate with bank allies to offer various deposit and associated business amenities. They may oversee substantial connections with the backing of a manager or suitable partner assistance. Business Bankers establish and sustain a dynamic list of potential clients, customer engagement strategy, and reliable referral channels aligning with a sales strategy aimed at meeting production targets and financial goals.

Responsibilities:

In this position, you will have the opportunity to:

• Contribute to the bank's expansion by actively engaging in the provision of business loans, deposits, and generating fee-based revenue.
• Utilize your connections to interact with business proprietors and firms in the area to create prospects for business loans.
• Be the face of the bank in the community by actively engaging in civic, local, and networking gatherings.
• Participate in a streamlined loan approval procedure by maintaining transparent communication and collaborating with credit associates.
• Join forces with a team of diverse bank partners to enhance and strengthen the overall client connection through collaboration.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of a bachelor's degree and a minimum of four years of experience in business lending, credit, or business development is required; alternatively, a high school diploma or GED and at least eight years of experience in business lending, credit, or business development will be considered.
• Proven track record in business development and successful track record in cultivating and expanding client connections.
• Demonstrating proficient abilities in evaluating financial data and assessing credit risk.
• Understanding business lending options, deposit offerings, and strategies for managing cash flow.
• Impressive abilities in communicating, bargaining, and delivering presentations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Established conflicts of interest (COIs) and sources of referrals
• Proficiency in assessing financial data and evaluating creditworthiness is essential in financial analysis and loan approval processes
• Understanding business financing, deposit, and cash management options is crucial for businesses
• Offering skills in offering financial advice and specialized knowledge
• Having a background in sales strategy and prediction
