Job Summary:Bank Examiner

A Bank Examiner delivers tailored financial solutions by supporting clients with daily banking needs, managing account openings and maintenance, and advising on suitable financial products and services.

Business Development:

• Establish and maintain a steady cadence for SBA business growth in the market, including:
• Planning and tracking phone communications
• Client retention calls
• Prospecting new clients
• Using outbound calls to connect with prospects or clients
• Participating in networking events
• Developing and expanding a sophisticated COI (Center of Influence) network of community and business leaders to drive referrals
• Managing sales activities, evaluating credit, structuring loans, preparing and submitting SBA loan applications, conducting client meetings, and assessing individual characteristics
• Forging new business relationships to encourage growth and opportunities

Credit Acumen:

• Possesses in-depth knowledge of corporate credit facilities, including:
• Designing tailored terms and offerings aligned with business needs, asset lifespans, and growth strategies
• Analyzing financial statements and tax returns to assess creditworthiness and risk for businesses and individuals
• Evaluating short- and long-term credit requirements by analyzing business sales cycles and projected growth
• Advising potential clients on bank underwriting standards, SBA programs, and applicable government regulations
• Collaborating with attorneys, loan closing agents, and internal staff to ensure timely loan closure and funding
• Balancing business priorities with client expectations while mitigating risk
• Following Seacoast Bank’s Code of Conduct and ethical standards
• Mentoring entry-level SBA lenders to support their development
• Ensuring compliance with all bank policies and regulatory requirements, including BSA, AML, and OFAC
• Processing loan applications and collecting necessary information while maintaining fair lending practices
• Handling client concerns professionally and escalating unresolved issues appropriately

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• College degree in a finance-related field is preferred
• Minimum of five years of experience in SBA lending is preferred
• At least 10 years of experience in business development or financial services
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficiency with desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, and Microsoft Office Suite
