The role of a Commercial Relationship Manager involves being crucial in:

• Enriching the well-being of our customers and the success of their businesses by offering financial assistance, educational support, and expert advice.
• Collaborating strategically with business partners in commercial lending, private banking, Retail Regional Managers, and Branch Managers to implement sales strategies effectively.
• Competence in setting the agenda for the business and creating a growth-oriented roadmap.

Responsibilities include:

• Meet quarterly and yearly targets by expanding the business in CI, CRE, home loans, SBA financing, treasury services, deposits, investments, and other commercial and consumer products provided by East West Bank.
• Partner with the Regional Manager and/or Branch Manager to devise and deploy customer-centric marketing plans geared towards acquiring new clients using methods such as prospecting, cold calling, building connections, and seeking recommendations.
• Adhere to and utilize an in-depth comprehension of the financial institution's credit guidelines, customer requirements, and all essential operational protocols to ensure the accurate and thorough submission of commercial and personal loan documentation.
• Collaborate in nearby and regional business events; arrange and execute focused initiatives and activities.
• Provide insights to management on the current competition protocols and procedures, if necessary.
• Guide customers on accessing and utilizing our digital channels for their banking and investment needs in a flexible manner.
• Responsibilities beyond the defined scope may need completion.

Qualifications include:

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• The preferred candidate should possess over five years of experience in commercial lending or private banking, along with a demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets.
• Proficiency in CI loans, SBA loans, or industry-specific financing is highly valued.
• Candidates with a strong background in banking, familiarity with credit and deposit services, and expertise in facilitating international transactions between the U.S. and Greater China are highly desirable.
• Demonstrates significant strengths in analysis, marketing/selling, consultancy, and negotiation techniques.
• Proficient communication skills in both written and spoken forms.
• Display enthusiasm, prioritize achieving goals, and effectively function within a group dynamic.
• Displaying a deep-seated aspiration and skill to sway, instruct, and foster connections among team members, allies, and consumers in the field of technology.
• Demonstrates the skill to absorb and adjust to novel information and technological systems.
