Banking Associate

The Banking Associate's role involves providing outstanding customer service through following the Breakthrough Client Experience Standards. They aim to establish new relationships and enhance current ones by understanding client requirements, suggesting suitable solutions, and directing clients to the relevant bank personnel as required. Besides, they are tasked with recognizing and initiating opportunities for consumer loans.

Responsibilities include:

• Deliver exceptional customer service by promptly acknowledging customers, identifying their needs, recommending suitable products and services, and addressing their queries promptly.
• Involve customers and potential clients in reviewing their financial status and business finances to identify solutions and discover any additional financial requirements.
• Ensure that clients receive suggested actions and deliver on promises to them.
• Ensure continuous communication with both external and internal customers, offering proactive problem-solving and solutions that adhere to the bank's Breakthrough Client Service Standards.
• Assist clients in setting up both consumer and business accounts, catering to both new and current customers.
• Support Client Service Specialists by participating in team collaboration and assisting with teller duties, such as handling cash transactions when required.
• Assist in achieving the branch objective of recognizing and directing various bank offerings and amenities to the suitable internal associates.
• Keep up-to-date on products and protocols.
• Address client problems and inquiries diligently, showing effective persistence.
• Develop knowledge about commercial, customer, and reliability organizations.
• Additional duties may be required as delegated.

Qualifications include:

• A high school diploma or its equivalent, the General Educational Development (GED) credential, is required.
• One year of experience in a client service specialist (teller) or similar banking role is preferred.
• Understanding of fundamental retail banking concepts and available products and services.
• Willingness to enhance expertise in consumer lending through active participation.
• Ability to follow established Standard Operating Procedures.
• Proficiency in managing cash transactions, reconciling accounts, and performing accurate calculations.
• Ability to handle multiple and diverse client needs efficiently.
• Strong relationship-building skills with a focus on developing new and existing client relationships.
• Knowledge of state statutes and regulations related to banking products and services.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and basic arithmetic.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Preferred credential: Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS).
