Responsibilities:

  • Encourage active involvement of clients and prospects in financial assessments and business appraisals to determine solutions and identify any supplementary financial needs. Provide suggestions and ensure that promises to clients are kept.
  • Foster direct engagement with both external and internal customers, delivering exceptional service in accordance with the bank's unparalleled client service principles.
  • Main individual in the branch responsible for commencing new deposit accounts and initiating consumer loans.
  • Initiates consumer loans and small business loans while diligently constructing and overseeing a portfolio of loans and deposits.
  • Educates customers about the range of services provided by internal associates, such as Treasury Management services.
  • Undertakes proactive outbound calling to reach out to current and potential consumer and small business customers. Works together with the branch manager to schedule outbound business development meetings within the community.
  • Cultivates a list of prospects by engaging in both in-branch and outbound development endeavors.
  • Foster cooperation with partners in different lines of business throughout the bank and within the branch.
  • Offering independent support for addressing and resolving problems with digital products and services.
  • Backs the community through engagement in events occurring during and after standard business hours, on weekends, volunteer work, and sponsoring community programs.
  • Demonstrates a dedication to learning, modeling, and nurturing the collaborative spirit of our DO RIGHT TOGETHER culture.

Qualifications:

  • To be eligible, candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED.
  • A background of two years in banking or proven sales experience is a prerequisite.
  • They have spent 24 months enhancing existing and prospective client relationships, meeting sales targets, and forming referral pipelines within the banking or retail industry, with expertise in client care and cash operations being a mandatory prerequisite.
  • The job demands a background of at least 2 years in a lending function, specifically focusing on loan origination and processing activities.
  • Proficiency in consumer and business product and service knowledge.
  • Evidenced skill in both consumer and enterprise lending.
  • Illustrates a strong willingness to assist clients in attaining their financial ambitions.
  • Comprehending cash flow, financial statements, and market uncertainties is a key competence.
  • Manifests a keenness and capability to cultivate technology skills in various service delivery avenues like online banking systems, bill pay services, electronic statement facilities, mobile banking apps, ATMs, and business banking tools.
  • Focuses on constant improvement in communication skills, with a special emphasis on presentations.
  • Impressive verbal and written communication expertise, incorporating the skill to deliver presentations to groups.
  • Capacity to initiate outbound calls, either in physical meetings or from a distance.
  • Possess the capacity to lift up to 25 pounds and stand continuously for extended periods.
  • The duties may involve acting as a bank MLO for open-end transactions. All MLOs must register to ensure compliance with the SAFE Act regulations. This position is specifically not allowed to operate as a bank closed-end MLO.
