Job Description:

Responsible for assisting customers in finding and obtaining permanent FHA/VA and conventional mortgage loans, as well as other residential mortgage programs, that align with their financial requirements and objectives, while also following the federal registration guidelines established by the SAFE Act.

Responsibilities:

• Engages with loan applicants to obtain and assess information about their financial standing, including income, debts, assets, and credit records, along with their desires, earnings, and needs to help in determining the feasibility of approving the loan; gathers and evaluates relevant financial and credit data.
• Evaluates the credit worthiness of applicants individually. Has the authority to provide a pre-qualification statement regarding borrowers' eligibility.
• Identifies the most appropriate products that meet the customer's needs and financial status and advises potential borrowers on the benefits and drawbacks of various financial products and the most suitable mortgage programs.
• Encourages customers to explore different bank products or alternative lending options when needed.
• Cultivates relationships with real estate professionals, builders, and developers to drive mortgage business growth and increase the bank's presence in the residential lending market.
• It could be essential to journey to and perform duties at potential customers' residences or business venues. Subsequently, follows up on potential customers through travel or phone correspondence.
• Engages in talks with borrowers to establish loan terms and is authorized to bind the bank in connection with these agreements.
• Guarantees compliance with all origination procedures, encompassing adherence to both bank policies and regulatory standards for lending.
• Helps management develop effective compliance strategies and proposes potential adjustments to corporate operating policies as needed to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.
• Observes the emerging trends and advancements in the vicinity's real estate market, as well as the revisions in regulations for both private and government-guaranteed mortgages.
• Functions as an advocate for the bank in the local community, participating in events and functions to discover, nurture, and showcase new business prospects. Holds seminars for different audiences, including the public and real estate agents, with the aim of fostering additional business and promoting community outreach.

Essential educational and professional experience needed:

• Possessing an associate degree and two years of experience in sales roles,
• Instead of a traditional degree program, other educational options may be suitable
• Qualifications for this position include a combined minimum of 4 years of higher education and relevant work experience, with a minimum of 2 years in sales.
• In-depth knowledge of FHA/VA guidelines, conventional loan requirements, and laws governing real estate transactions.

Responsibilities:

• The current officeholder is proficient in working with minimal supervision, sometimes remotely from the office.
• The role entails building and nurturing external connections, as well as internal interactions primarily during sales meetings held outside the office.
• The position requires interacting with individuals and teams within the organization and in the designated community, creating new relationships and preserving existing ones.
• The obligation for establishing and upholding federal registration prerequisites stipulated in the SAFE Act.
