Job Description for Loan Consultant:

In charge of promoting and selling Truist Mortgage Loan products in adherence to bank policies, aiming to drive sales growth. Facilitates referrals to other bank services and insurance products, delivering exceptional client advice and support.

Core responsibilities and functions:

• Develop and execute impactful mortgage marketing initiatives and business expansion strategies to achieve or surpass production goals.
• Ensure a comprehensive understanding of the mortgage strategies, policies, procedures, and secondary market investor guidelines followed by Truist.
• Follow all Truist policies and procedures diligently, inclusive of state and federal regulatory requirements.
• Providing expert mortgage advice by deeply understanding the client's needs and showcasing the advantages of Truist Mortgage products.
• Follow through with Truist's referral process by linking up mortgage clientele with further banking solutions.
• Support in the verification of mortgage loan paperwork follow-up for customers, attorneys, or property evaluators as mandated during quality assurance or finalization inspection.

Essential Skills:

• A minimum of one year of banking or lending experience is necessary, alongside a foundational comprehension of residential property variations.
• Proficient in organization, adept at both written and verbal communication.
• Excellent at navigating interpersonal dynamics and adept at negotiating successfully.
• Proficiency in the use of suitable computer applications.
• Meeting the demands of the SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act involves completing NMLS registration and a background investigation within a 30-day period.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Qualifications for this role include a bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Accounting, or a related area, or an equivalent background in financial sales.
• Bringing over two years of experience in residential mortgage lending, equipped with a robust understanding of local market trends and compliance standards.
• Documented sales accomplishments and previous leadership responsibilities.
