In the branch team, the Branch Support Banker's primary responsibilities include attracting new clients, strengthening existing relationships, and helping clients gain confidence in achieving their financial goals. This role requires a focus on the client's needs, a strong drive for sales, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues. Responsibilities:

  • Listen actively for indications of financial wellness challenges during client discussions and offer personalized recommendations to help clients address these challenges and enhance their financial well-being.
  • Demonstrates unwavering consistency in meeting individual performance and behavior standards.
  • Creating personal and business banking accounts encompassing consumer checking services, small business account management, a range of deposit options, home equity loans, unsecured credit facilities, and certificate of deposit investments.
  • Cultivating robust collaborations with branch teammates and line of business partners to focus on acquiring clients and strengthening relationships with current clients, while effectively managing influential networks both internally and externally.
  • Following operational, risk, security, and audit procedures and policies diligently, including accurately documenting client interactions.
  • One of the responsibilities is to support branch operations by assisting with customer transactions at the Teller line.
  • Be involved in and from time to time assist in morning briefings and evening recaps.
  • Expected to carry out any other assigned tasks; roles, obligations, or tasks could be altered, or fresh ones might be designated at any given moment, with or without advance warning.
  • Adheres to all KeyBank policies and protocols, such as maintaining a professional demeanor consistently, engaging in ethical business practices, steering clear of conflicts of interest, and prioritizing the welfare of Key's clients and the organization in all actions.

Education Qualifications:

  • Essential qualifications comprise a high school diploma or GED, or relevant business exposure
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

Experience Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 12 months of experience in developing current and future customer relationships, reaching sales goals, and establishing sources for referrals is a critical requirement. Prioritizing sales experience over financial services knowledge is critical for the role at KeyBank. While KeyBank offers support and training, they are specifically looking for relationship builders who demonstrate a curious nature, excel at sparking conversations, and are adept at fostering connections.   • Credit reports offer a detailed account of an individual's credit history, including credit accounts, payment history, and outstanding debts. Lenders use this information to evaluate a consumer's creditworthiness and assess the risk of lending to them
  • Primary understanding of sales and service practices for client interactions, including tele-advisory services, outbound calls, prospect identification, and networking activities. (required)
  • Proficient in confidently interacting with small business clientele, handling objections, and asking probing questions to gather essential information and provide help
  • Demonstrated ability in influencing business partners and leveraging centers of influence is required for this position, as it entails substantial influence over partners like Key Investment Services, Mortgage, and Business Banking sales professionals. (mandatory)
  • Proficiency in PC usage, including familiarity with MS Windows and Office programs like Word and Excel, is necessary
  • Essential requirements involve having a working knowledge of digital technology (mobile devices, applications, and web browsing) and the proficiency to inform clients about digital platforms and capabilities integrated into Key

  • Demonstrated expertise in allocating and utilizing time wisely
